Thanks to the incredible generosity, partnership, and community spirit of our supporters, the 2025 EJS Project & Friends Thanksgiving Drive-Thru was our most impactful yet. Together, we served 575 families across Delray Beach and surrounding communities—providing frozen turkeys, hams, and full bags of sides, including stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, cornbread, and a variety of desserts like cookies, brownies, and cakes. Altogether, this food helped nourish an estimated 3,705 people at their Thanksgiving tables.
This year also marked a historic milestone for EJS: 33 partners and sponsors activated for the event—the highest number in our seven-year history. Their commitment allowed us to expand our reach, overcome rising costs, and ensure that more families than ever before could enjoy a warm, joyful holiday meal.
More than 50 volunteers powered this effort over two days. They packed bags, organized materials, directed traffic, distributed meals, and greeted every family with care and compassion. Our volunteer team included local organizations, neighborhood residents, EJS parents, EJS students, Board Members, business partners, and longtime supporters—all coming together with one shared purpose.
What made this drive truly special were the stories from families themselves—stories of relief, gratitude, and togetherness. Parents shared how they were able to feed large families of 10, 17, and even 26 people during difficult times. Others expressed how this support eased financial burdens, reduced stress, and allowed them to spend the holiday focused on family rather than worry.
This event was a reminder of what happens when a community shows up—when neighbors help neighbors, when partners collaborate, and when generosity becomes action.
