Our Pulte Family Foundation Tutoring Saturdays provide vital academic support for students throughout the school year and summer. Hosted every other Saturday during the school year and weekly during our Summer Programming, these sessions are made possible through partnerships with Believe to Achieve, a student-led tutoring organization, and Jarrid Frye, a dedicated math teacher at Spanish River High School. We offer free one-on-one homework help, diagnostic testing to assess academic levels, customized lesson plans in math and reading, and preparation for the FAST, SAT, and ACT exams. Additionally, we closely monitor student GPAs, test scores, and other key academic metrics to ensure personalized support where it’s most needed.
The EmpowerU Mental Health Program at the EJS Project is designed to introduce students to mental health, help them develop emotional skills, and provide professional support for those in need. Through a partnership with licensed mental health clinician Darius Murray from ReAbleU Therapy, we offer monthly group therapeutic sessions for students in our afterschool program. These sessions focus on building emotional intelligence, teaching coping skills, and enhancing our safe space. Additionally, we provide one-on-one therapy sessions for students and families seeking individualized mental health support.
